Long Overdue
This past Sunday evening was one of the best days I have had in the past year. My brother came over to my new house for the first time and we got to hang out and eat dinner. It was a surprisingly emotional experience. The last time my brother came over and hung out was before his accident, and Sunday I realized how much I miss those moments.
Please pray for my family and my mom in particular. My mom was diagnosed with cancer two weeks ago and is going to have to have surgery, chemotherapy and radiation. I am thankful for all my family at CORE and Pastor Todd coming on. I am going to need your support more than ever, and I know you are all there for me.
By the way, how ‘bout that Pastor Todd? He and I have been wanting to work together for years, and to have this opportunity is so exciting. Be expecting big things. Next year is going to be crazy!

Hey Joel,
It was great seeing you in Indy. I wish I was there to work alongside you and Todd. Sounds like things are bittersweet right now. Did you seen Josh’s video blog on “embracing the bad days”? Easier said than done, but I think he’s on to something.

Hey PJ! I am so thankful that you are my youth pastor. I don’t think I could have accepted the change between Loyd to Todd as quickly if you wouldn’t have been there through it all with us. You mean a lot to me and I didn’t realize that until the night you told us that PL was leaving and you choked up a little ( but I don’t think anyone could tell so your manlyhood is still safe haha) Thank you so much for everything. Especially for remembering my name! (Sonfest if you had forgotten)

Joel, your family is very dear to all of us. We think about you all very often. I can tell that you are walking with the strength and confidence that can only come from our Heavenly Father. Thanks for always being such a great friend. We love you guys very much, and will continue to lift you up in prayer.
